Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore (YSTCM)

YSTCM offers a unique and adventurous 21st century Asian environment to train and educate performers, composers and recording engineers. Most talented young musicians come to the Conservatory from over 20 countries and each of them is offered full scholarship. The Conservatory is distinctively international in terms of its faculty, student population and artistic outlook. The Conservatory offers a four-year, full-time undergraduate Bachelor of Music degree programme and a boutique Master of Music programme. The Conservatory has exchange agreements with several schools of international reputation, allowing students to spend one academic semester overseas (USA, Finland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Australia, Germany, Thailand).

The Conservatory is set in a bright modern architecture building, officially opened in 2006, offering all the facilities for training professional musicians: 600-seat concert hall, 80 sound-proof and temperature controlled studios and practice spaces, a music library, smart classrooms, and one of the largest recording studios in Asia. YSTCM presents more than 200 free concerts and masterclasses to the public each year, and is therefore an integral part ofSingapore’s artistic calendar.

YSTCM is connected to a global network of conservatories for student exchange and with leading orchestras in the region for internships. YSTCM students are accepted into major festivals and academies each year. YSTCM students are frequently invited for performances around the world.
